Grading Required
Students submit a one-page inquiry checkpoint containing their refined neighborhood question, initial hypothesis, likely contradictory account, and a concrete plan for checking reliability and bias through sourcing, contextualization, and lateral reading. The teacher reviews this as a milestone gate before students move into full method design in the next phase. Students whose plans are incomplete revise during conference time until they meet the standard.
