In neighborhood teams, students review their fieldnotes, weekly document work, class notes, and a starter set of local maps or photos to surface genuine historical puzzles about their assigned area. Each team generates several possible inquiry questions, tests which ones are investigable with available sources, and drafts an initial hypothesis that could be challenged by evidence. Students also note how geography, biology, and culture may connect to the question.
