Students create a short personal San Diego history timeline and neighborhood map that link family, school, migration, housing, work, language, or community experiences to local places. They then analyze one San Diego map, photograph, or oral history clip using sourcing, contextualization, and a quick lateral reading routine to test what makes the source useful or limited. In pairs, students give feedback to 2 peers, receive feedback, and revise one timeline note or one source analysis claim for clarity and evidence.
