Participants examine sample rocky shore questions and hypotheses, then use an NGSS-style question screen to draft their own team question. The facilitator provides just-in-time guidance on scope, variables, and evidence sources so teams frame a question that can be answered through Birch Aquarium observations, field notes, counts, and environmental data rather than opinion.
