Students meet briefly with the teacher for a midpoint conference while classmates continue independent evidence collection and journal updates. Each student must justify their strongest emerging comparison claim, explain one methodological choice from their evidence collection plan, and show how they have tracked source credibility or discrepancies across texts and contextual materials. The class ends with students revising their log and journal so the evidence set is ready to support Phase 4 analysis.
