Submission Required
Students study a short teacher-modeled evidence log built from a novel excerpt, a nonfiction passage, and one outside contextual source, then refine their own logging system in a notebook or spreadsheet. The class focuses on traceability fields: quotation or paraphrase, page number, speaker or source, tentative subclaim, reliability note, and anomaly or counterevidence tag. Students then begin logging evidence from both chosen texts using their Phase 2 methodology plan.
