Submission Required
Students work in small groups through hands-on stations using syringes, balloons, warm water, ice water, and insulating materials to model compressed air and underwater heat loss. They draw particle sketches for hot and cold conditions, compare insulation materials in cold water, and capture measurements or observations on a shared evidence sheet. To close, each team creates a quick mission card with an early air-use claim, a warming-device sketch, and one assumption to check with the Coast Guard or aquarium partner in the next phase.
