Students rotate through posted propaganda posters, school policy speeches, and short political ad transcripts, annotating rhetorical appeals, tone, and possible logical fallacies with sticky notes and a rhetoric notice-catch sheet. As a class, they sort examples into 'persuasion' and 'manipulation' categories and identify which moves seem most effective with different audiences.
