🖍️ Passage Coding With Author Choices

The class studies a short model passage and builds a shared coding key for motivation, conflict, values, risks, responsibilities, and author moves such as dialogue, setting, or plot structure. Students then annotate 2-3 passages from their own short story or novela with color codes and margin notes using print copies or digital comments. The session ends with a brief calibration discussion about how different readers justify the same code with evidence.
