Students examine their storyboard notes and one short excerpt from a class text to draft an initial claim linking one character to one career path in their Career Investigation Notebook. In pairs, students give feedback to 2 peers, receive feedback on clarity and evidence, and revise the claim to include one textual detail and one idea from the panel; they also list one question they still need to investigate. The teacher collects the revised notebook entry as a baseline checkpoint for later comparison.
