🗺️ Classroom Maps Notice & Wonder

Students study printed classroom maps, simple blueprints, and photos of classroom, garden, and playground layouts while watching short architect and landscaper video clips. As a class, they identify rectangles, discuss what makes a space useful and fair, and sort observations into criteria, constraints, area, and perimeter on chart paper. Teams then measure one small rectangular classroom space with tape measures and record both area and perimeter in their project folders.
