🏷️ Theme Coding with Color Keys

Using highlighters, sticky notes, and a shared code bank, students practice assigning evidence to themes such as enlistment pressure, propaganda, rationing, grief, disability, displacement, and civilian labor. They code a short common text set first, then begin coding their own collected evidence, noting overlaps and anomalies rather than forcing every source into one category.
