Each team completes a brief performance checkpoint with the teacher using its visual, gallery talk, and investigation notebook evidence. Students must explain their conclusion, answer one follow-up question about a contradictory or limited source, and name one new question they still have for families or archive partners at the fair. The conference serves as the milestone gate for moving into the final showcase phase.
