🌲 What We Get From the Woods Walk

Students rotate through school forest stations with community partners to sample, sketch, photograph, and record evidence about habitat, decomposition, shade, food sources, and water regulation in a dated field journal. At each stop, they add one labeled observation or question to a shared annotated observation board using sticky notes or marker annotations. The class closes with a standing forest circle check-in where each student names one ecological idea they learned and one collaboration skill they used well or want to improve, then shares one feedback point, one revision they made to notes or board entries, and one next step for strengthening their ecosystem model.
