🧭 Regional Passport Day Carousel
Critical Thinking & Problem Solving
Submission Required
Students rotate in small groups through U.S. region stations for New England, the Mid-Atlantic, the South, the Midwest, the Great Plains, the Rocky Mountain Region, the Southwest, the West Coast, Alaska, and Hawaii. At each stop, they examine a regional map, weather images, landform photos, and artifact cards, then record clues in a U.S. Region Investigation Notebook: where the region is located, what land and climate features they notice, and one evidence-based idea about how people might live there. Groups place movable region labels on a large U.S. map and practice using sentence frames with cardinal directions and relative location words as they test and revise their thinking.
