🗺️ Region Question and Evidence Plan

Critical Thinking & Problem Solving Submission Required Grading Required

Teams review their Passport Day notes, station photos, artifact observations, and the large U.S. map to identify one puzzling regional pattern to investigate. Using a teacher-provided menu of question stems and a planning template, students write one investigable question, one hypothesis, and a step-by-step method for collecting evidence from maps, weather images, artifacts, and captions while using cardinal and relative location language. Midway through, students give feedback to 2 peers, receive feedback, and revise their plan; they then complete a quick region-to-region gallery walk with sticky notes focused on map labels, evidence categories, and accuracy before finalizing the plan in their investigation notebooks.
