Students examine photos, tally sheets, and sample bins from the school waste audit, then notice patterns in food scraps, contamination, and likely user habits. The class co-creates an investigation board with questions about which scraps should be composted, what conditions support decomposition, and what risks an urban school compost system must avoid.
