🔍 Exemplar Exploration

Students examine at least one real compost system example such as a school collection station, tumbler bin, worm bin, or curbside organics setup using photos, diagrams, and short case notes. In pairs, they identify effective features, user supports, and ecosystem safeguards, then sketch two original design ideas that adapt useful features for their own cafeteria and garden context rather than copying. Students label how each idea addresses user needs, likely scraps, and urban concerns such as pests, smell, and limited space.
