🧵 Exemplar Exploration

Students examine 2-3 sustainable accessories or repurposed textile pieces from sources such as Materials for the Arts, New York Textile Lab examples, or teacher-selected photos and sample objects. They annotate features including stitch choice, closure, reinforcement, fabric type, waste reduction strategy, and visual messaging, then identify quality criteria worth borrowing. Each student generates original concept sketches that adapt one or more effective features without copying the exemplar.
