📚 Captions Headings and Purpose

Using a read-aloud, photos, captions, headings, and a short marsh video, the teacher guides students in noticing how text features help answer questions about the mystery. Students identify whether the author or video maker is explaining, describing, or answering something about marsh life. In pairs, they use sentence frames to ask and answer questions from one print and one non-print source.
