🚤 Marsh Mystery Boat Notes

Students visit the marsh or take a short boat trip with clipboards, picture note sheets, and crayons to sketch a puzzling pattern such as where animals gather, where spartina grows, or where trash appears. A community partner from DNR, Bears Bluff, Kiawah Conservancy, Charleston Aquatic, or Dill Sanctuary models close looking, names a few marsh features, and prompts students to record what they see, hear, and smell. Students add at least one labeled drawing and one oral or teacher-scribed question to begin their investigation journal.
