Students revisit field sketches, artifact labels, partner notes, and marsh photos to sort evidence into categories such as plants, animals, habitat needs, human impact, and care actions. The teacher models how to separate what was observed from what is wondered or inferred, then the class builds a shared anchor chart with picture icons and sentence frames. Students physically move evidence cards and discuss which pieces belong together and which do not fit the pattern yet.
