🎯 Author Purpose Question Sort

Students listen to a read-aloud excerpt, view a short marsh video clip, and examine a conservation poster from a community partner source. In small groups, they sort source cards by whether the author or creator wants to explain, describe, or answer something, then decide what kinds of questions each source can help answer. The teacher models how author purpose can strengthen or narrow an investigable question before students revisit their own group question.
