🌦️ Forecast Detective Day

Content Expertise Effective Communication Critical Thinking & Problem Solving K-2-ETS1-1 LS.2.C LS.2.A LS.4.B Submission Required

A local weather expert launches the project by showing a thermometer, wind tool, rain gauge, and sky observations, then explains how weather information helps families and neighbors make daily choices. Students rotate through quick hands-on stations in small groups, try each tool, act out weather-related choices, and record one picture or sentence in a weather log about how the information could help someone. The class closes by naming people in the community who use weather information and sharing wonderings for the project.
