With support from an immigration or labor rights nonprofit guest, students listen to selected recent migration stories and compare them to historical examples already on the timeline. In a structured circle, they discuss what has changed, what continues, and what questions today's stories raise about moving to California. Students capture notes that connect one community story to one historical era and one possible interview angle for later phases.
