📚 Archive Source Detective

Students work with digitized materials curated with local library or archives staff, including letters, posters, photographs, newspaper excerpts, and maps. In pairs, they identify source type, origin, purpose, and what each item suggests about why people moved to California. They sort sources by era and note where two sources agree, disagree, or leave questions unanswered.
