🧭 Push-Pull Clues in Sources

Critical Thinking & Problem Solving Submission Required

Using a teacher-modeled think-aloud and guided practice, students examine a photo, job ad, map, and oral history excerpt to distinguish push factors, pull factors, and source clues. They annotate where a source shows labor opportunity, safety, land, fame, or other motives, then compare how promotional language differs from lived experience. Students add a color-coded evidence key to their notebooks for later use.
