🧭 Evidence Checkpoint Launch

Teams examine a model timeline caption set and sort sample claims into strong, weak, and unsupported categories using a color-coded evidence ladder. The class names what makes a claim defensible: accurate dates, at least two source types, clear push-pull language, and traceable citations. Students then mark one risk area in their own California Migration Investigation Notebook that they need to fix this phase.
