Students complete the final performance assessment through a teacher-scored small-group gallery walk using the mural as evidence. Each student explains how California functioned as a pull factor across time, cites multiple sources, and responds to a follow-up question about change, continuity, or conflicting evidence. The phase closes with a short circle conversation connecting one migration story from the project to students' learning about movement and identity.
