🧭 Memo Rubric Calibration

Students study the California Innocence Project case memo rubric and compare two short sample memo excerpts for evidence use, legal accuracy, and recommendation strength. As a class, they identify what counts as corroboration, contradiction, unsupported inference, and careful language when records are incomplete. Each team then flags 2 rubric categories that need the most attention in its own packet before critique begins.
