Students analyze 2-3 mentor pieces such as photo-poems, mixed-media portraits, and short exhibit labels to identify how composition, symbolism, line breaks, captioning, and source-based details shape audience understanding. The teacher models how to connect one artistic decision to interview evidence and one resilience theme using a prototype planning template. Students leave with a medium choice, a materials list, and a brief draft plan for their own exhibit piece.
