🌿 Pocket Forest Adventure Day

Students launch the project by exploring the schoolyard with clipboards, site research journals, sunlight testers, and simple soil check materials. In mixed-grade teams, they record where plants, animals, and people seem able to thrive, noting shade, drainage, foot traffic, animal signs, and available space. The teacher uses an observation checklist during the walk to note how students use habitat vocabulary, gather evidence, and work with teammates.
