Grading Required
Using observation notes from launch, River LA story materials, and a team evidence sorter, students cluster patterns around pollution, habitat loss, runoff, or access and draft one actionable problem statement on a shared board. Teams must identify the affected people, animals, or neighborhoods; cite at least three pieces of evidence; and connect the issue to local, state, and federal water agencies using a claim-evidence-reasoning frame. Students then give feedback to 2 peers, receive feedback, and revise their problem statement before submitting a final version and adding an updated claim to the before-and-after reflection wall.
