🎤 Model Speech Clues

Students read and listen to a model promotion speech excerpt, then annotate for structure, strongest lines, formal English choices, and audience impact. In pairs, they conduct brief empathy interviews about what families and peers need to hear at a promotion celebration, capturing quotes on sticky notes. They sort notes into patterns and identify at least one assumption they had about the audience that the interview evidence confirmed or challenged.
