🗺️ Santa Ana Stats Safari
Submission Required
Teams rotate through map-based clue stations using a city map, neighborhood data cards, and claim trackers focused on housing, traffic, air quality, park access, and public safety. At each stop, students make a brief evidence-based claim, note what could be misleading because of missing data or sample bias, and record a one-minute voice note or quick table chat tied to the essential question. The class closes with a fast whole-group debrief that surfaces promising issue areas, introduces the Investigation Notebook and team Evidence Exchange poster board, and previews that the next phase will focus on refining questions, choosing methods, and preparing work for critique by classmates and a local nonprofit partner.
