Each student meets briefly with the teacher to present their question, hypothesis, and evidence plan from the Choctaw History Investigation Notebook. Students explain why their sources fit the question and show how they will compare details rather than rely on a single text. Those who meet the checkpoint move forward; others revise immediately with teacher support and resubmit before the next phase.
