🔍 Lettuce Evidence Routines

Students revisit the class observation method by practicing how to look closely with magnifiers, point to roots, stems, and leaves, and tell the difference between what they see and what they think might be happening. The teacher models using a date stamp, picture icons for water/light, and comparison words such as taller, greener, and longer on a sample lettuce notebook page. Students then complete a short guided practice entry using one class plant before moving to their own plants.
