Students complete a short performance checkpoint in pairs by pouring water through a simple runoff model and explaining what happened using materials in the model. They point to sand, gravel, soil, and native plants, tell which parts slowed dirty water, and connect one part of the model to the class garden plan. The teacher uses an observation rubric while students show their final revision notes and sign draft.
