Students listen to a short family or multilingual community story about water, home foods, or helpful plants, then act out what people, insects, birds, and soil might need in a school garden. Partners co-create a large sketch map with simple labels or dictated sentences showing one plant space, one living thing, and one place where water should slow down. Students do a brief peer share with another pair, give feedback to 2 peers using sentence frames, receive feedback, and revise by adding a clearer label, picture, or water path. The class closes with the weekly circle routine by naming one way the garden could help living things and one way they can help care for them.
