🌎 I Love SD Earth Launch

Students participate in an I Love A Clean San Diego kickoff featuring the 3 Rs and food waste, then analyze a short teacher-curated video or speaker story connecting school litter to local habitats, landfills, and climate change. Using a class anchor chart, they sort example items into recycle, compost, and trash, and discuss competing ideas about whether behavior change, better systems, or both will reduce litter most. Students end by writing a brief care-for-the-planet reflection and one question they want to investigate.
