🎭 Cardstock Puppet Mechanics Lab

Students study exemplar jointed puppets and practice building movable limbs with cardstock, scissors, brass fasteners or split pins, tape, and control rods. The teacher models how cutout shapes, translucency, and joint placement affect silhouette clarity on the tissue-paper screen, then students make one quick character prototype tied to their folktale storyboard. EML supports include labeled visuals, sentence frames for design choices, and oral rehearsal before writing portfolio notes.
