Students complete a teacher conference using their empathy page, research notes, and one portrait or location photo. The teacher checks for enough evidence to move into design work: accurate notes, a usable quote, and a clear story focus tied to a school person or place. Students make a final quick fix during class if any part is missing, then submit the revised page as their phase checkpoint.
