🎲 Dada Contradiction Remix

Students begin with a rapid slide sequence of Dada works alongside current ads and news images, using a 60-second notice/wonder to identify how meaning is built through absurd imagery, fragmentation, scale, and juxtaposition. The teacher then introduces the lesson challenge and models a quick think-aloud on turning one modern contradiction into a nonverbal image. Students complete a chance-based build by blindly selecting two found images and one material scrap, arranging them into a mini-collage, and labeling the contradiction they think the composition suggests. They then give feedback to 2 peers, receive feedback on clarity and surprise, and revise the arrangement once before a brief share-out of strongest visual choices.
