📖 CER Notes and Rebuttal Cards

Students use a structured CER organizer to draft a one-minute fairness claim with at least two pieces of text evidence from The Giver and one possible counterargument. In pairs, they give feedback to 2 peers, receive feedback, and revise by checking for vague claims, weak warrants, and unsupported rebuttals. Each student leaves with revised speaking points and a rebuttal card for the next day's presentation practice.
