🧠 Pacing and Meaning Moves

The class studies two short edited examples to compare sequencing, pacing, titles, music, and sound choices that clarify meaning versus distract from it. Students annotate where a J-cut, title card, natural sound bridge, or trim makes the story clearer, then apply one just-in-time editing move to their own rough cut. This connects film craft to analysis by asking students to defend why each edit helps the audience understand the topic.
