🦴 Fossil Clue Pattern Sort

Using fossil photos, footprint cards, body-part cards, and size compare mats from earlier phases, the class models how to sort evidence into categories such as teeth, feet, body covering, and big/small. Students then work in small groups to build a floor chart with picture cards and counters to show how many examples fit each category. The teacher records student language on chart paper so children hear and use words like fossil, clue, body part, compare, and pattern.
