📝 Responsibility Claim & Rationale

Individually, students write a preliminary claim answering: “Which revolutionary leader bears the greatest responsibility for the successes and failures of the Mexican Revolution?” They must commit to a specific figure and degree of responsibility, provide 2–3 sentences of reasoning based on Day 1 sources, and identify the strongest opposing claim. Students conclude with a brief paragraph connecting their position to the essential question by naming at least one idea that may transcend revolutions (e.g., land reform, resistance to autocracy).
