Students will design a clear, step-by-step plan for investigating their garden snack question by choosing an appropriate method, identifying variables or comparison points, planning how to collect quality data, and revising their plan after peer feedback before beginning data collection.

Students will systematically collect and document taste-test and observation data from community garden ingredients, carefully recording conditions, results, and anomalies in their Garden Investigation & Recipe Research Notebooks to build a strong evidence base for later analysis.

Analyze
Students will interpret their garden investigation data by creating simple visualizations, identifying patterns and surprises, discussing multiple interpretations with peers, and drafting preliminary findings that connect evidence to their original snack research question.
Days 9 - 12

Conclude
Students will draw evidence-based conclusions from their garden snack investigations, clearly explain what their data shows and does not show, identify limitations and new questions, and present their findings and final recipe pages to families during a celebratory picnic.
