❓ How Might We Help Visitors Add to 5?

Using the class persona, each team orally drafts a How Might We statement such as “How might we help Alex count all the toys and know the total up to 5?” The teacher scribes the final version and a 2–3 sentence rationale citing specific user quotes or observations. Teams share their HMW with another team, who checks: Does it name a real user? Does it focus on addition within 5? Is it not already a solution? Teams revise based on peer feedback and record the final HMW in their Design Journal with a drawing of the user need.
