🧠 Empathy Map: Says, Thinks, Feels, Does

Using interview notes (peer and completed family interview), students create an empathy map divided into Says, Thinks, Feels, and Does. They add at least two direct quotes and two inferred ideas, labeling which are explicit and which are implicit. Students write a short paragraph explaining what their reader needs in order to better understand the story’s central idea. Maps are shared in small groups for warm and cool feedback before brief revisions.
